Are you taking part in one of the Clean Up days coming up across the country? It’s amazing that so many people are getting together to make a difference. And that’s the point – that the actions of individuals can achieve something significant together. So, whether you’re taking part in a specific Clean Up day, you’re spreading the word about the campaign, or you’re making changes to the way you live all year round, you’re doing something great. Thank you.

Australians produce 540kg of household waste per person, each year. In the twelve months to June 2017, the Clean Up Australia campaign estimates our country generated 67 million tonnes of waste. Only 37% of that was recycled. Of course, those figures aren’t including scrap cars… if they were you could add millions of tonnes on top of that!

Whether it’s the abandoned cars your region may suffer with, or purely domestic cars that haven’t been recycled responsibly, it’s a huge part of the Clean Up that we’d love to see everyone consider over these special days.

As a nation we're creating more waste than ever, but while the shocking results of plastic in our oceans and climate change have made many of us address recycling in our homes and at work, we still have a long way to go. What we can promise you is that if you need to get rid of your old car, or you have the authority to take responsibility for abandoned cars, we will look after them and the environment! As well as offering you a hassle-free service that will take your car whatever its condition, all our car wreckers reuse and recycle as much of the scrap cars as possible. They use the latest methods to remove any hazardous materials from scrap cars and dispose of them safely.

If you want to do your bit and celebrate 30 years of Clean Up Australia then anything that you can do to help is an effort worth making. The campaign sums it up perfectly:

“Together we can all be part of the solution.”
