November has seen a slight increase in scrap prices and the index shows we are now only 9% down on the same period last year. You may recall that prices significantly dropped in October 2015. Prices are maintaining some stability this year and we still haven't seen any significant falls this year.

The Iron Ore Index has been also been quite stable, but it was predicted we may see a drop in demand and prices soon, which of course will affect scrap pricing.

The CarTakeBack Scrap Car Price Index is updated monthly using the prices on offer for scrap cars at CarTakeBack recycling centres throughout Australia. It is intended to give an indication of the movement in the price from one month to another, with the prices being shown as a percentage. Cars come in all shapes and sizes which has an effect on their scrap value, so prices have been adjusted to show what the average car would be worth.

CarTakeBack offer the best prices on your scrap car by searching their network of scrap car recycling centres, so why don't you get an instant quote now to find out how much your car is worth.
